What Dave said about disciplemaking

Dave helped bring the New Life Training Curriculum (NLTC) to Australia.

As we sought to adapt it to the Australian audience Dave made it clear that center on what the Bible says.

That sounds obvious, but many times discplemakers will give a Bible reference and assume that everyone knows what that verse says.  That is a dangerous assumption.

Dave decided that whenever we had a reference in our notes that we would put the Bible passage in the PowerPoint so that people could see what the Bible said.  This had the added benefit of showing people that we value the Bible and see it as our actual final source.

When I was adapting the MC2 (Multiplying Faith Communities of Churches) training for the Australian Audience, I changed several of the lectures into Discovery Bible Studies followed by short summaries.

How does your teaching style show that you value what God has said in the Bible?

I'd love to hear your teaching tips.

Till next time,
