Our church makes a big deal about our Christmas Breakfast Service.
It is my favourite service of the whole year.
A full breakfast with eggs, sausage, yogurt, muffins, fruit juice and coffee. Well decorated tables.
The service is designed for visitors: One year our pastor pitched a tent on the stage to illustrate his message.
And so we invite as many of our neighbours as we can. This year 24 of them came.
That is good.... and bad.
Good, in that they all heard the message.
Bad, in that it took so long to find out what they thought of the message and to help them take their next step.
==================
Let's do a rewind.
Imagine that Chris and I had only invited four people and that only two came. What would we have done then?
Here are four questions that we could have asked right after the service:
- What did you think of the Christmas Breakfast?
- Did the message make sense to you?
- Have you ever heard about a personal relationship with God the way Pastor James described?
- Would you be up for getting coffee SomeTime? I’d love to hear more of your story/spiritual journey.
These questions are worth memorizing. Yes, you will need to make some changes (your pastor may not be called James, and they may not have come for Christmas Breakfast).

This set of questions is just one of the many things I learned at the Becoming a CoJourner workshop.
The next online workshop is March 23, 2023, 6:45-8:45PM Central Time
|first_name|, how about registering today?
No matter how experienced you are in sharing your faith, I think you will find something valuable in Becoming a CoJourner.
