The Indians in my community will celebrate Holi this weekend. The official date is March 20.
It is a great time for us to share about forgiveness because on this day "everything is to be forgiven". It is the one day where people of all castes can play together.
I've made a card that you can download and print for your Indian friends, neighbours and shop keepers. It shares a story that Jesus told about forgiveness.
I plan to go to the Holi Celebration in our local park, ask people how they celebrated Holi as children and what they like about this special day. Then I will tell them that I like the message of forgiveness and give them the card to read.
Holi is also known as the "Fesitval of Colours". If you go to a festival I suggest wearing old clothes, because you might get coloured powder thrown at you.
I hope you have fun learning and sharing. Here is the cover of the card you can download.
