"Why would I  go to Switzerland?," I [Ryan] thought when I heard about yet 'another' approach to evangelism getting offered to me.

 

But... you know those moments your boss floats an idea past you and you can't just shoot it down straight away? (Plus, it is the land of chocolate) so, with a smile and a nod I say 'Hmmm, Sounds interesting'...

 

Little did I know that MyFriends came out of the same questions that I'd wrestled with and put some handles onto the very thing that I, and others I know, are passionate about- Jesus, Aussies & fulfilling the Great Commission.

 

I mean, what if you were to take the DNA of effective church planting movements and simplify it into a Lifestyle that can help everyday Jesus followers start a group; maybe even multiply a group of new disciples with their unchurched family & friends?

 

The average Aussie is interested in spiritual things, (Recently I chatted with a sparky who makes decisions by listening to 'the universe'...) but they're not interested in going to church.

 

So how do we reach them?

 

That's where MyFriends can help.

 

To some of my unchurched friends & family , I'm the only follower of Jesus they know. (That would be pretty common for most Aussies I'd reckon.)

 

So how does my life create opportunities for them to experience Jesus and connect into Gods story, where they're at? 

How do I learn to see those opportunities and Join in God's working?
