I hope this message finds you well and still as passionate about reaching |language|-speakers with the Gospel as you were when you downloaded the |item| from my website.
In recent years, my community has seen an influx of Hindus, opening up countless doors for building relationships and sharing the Gospel. Just last night, we had a heart-to-heart conversation with Vijay* while celebrating her 30th birthday at our home. As the children played outside, Vijay poured out her heart about her daughter's ongoing medical challenges.
After an attentive half-hour, we offered to pray for Vijay. We've learnt that most Hindus are quite open to a Christian praying for them, and have prayed many times for Vijay while she listened in.
Shilpa started interceeding for Vijay's daughter. Not a short casual prayer, but an ernest five minute prayer, laying out the problem and letting God know how desperate we are for an answer.
The result? Vijay started to sob. It was evident she had been carrying this burden for far too long.
The question on our minds is whether God will answer our prayer for healing, and we are hopeful that He will.
Interestingly, a group called Naya Jeevan pointed out to me that more Hindus come to faith in response to answered prayer than through traditional Gospel presentations. They've also given me insights on how changing just a few words in my Gospel presentation can lead to a much greater response.
