Is God Calling You to a Special Group?

Is God Calling You to a Special Group?

One of the most important questions we can ask ourselves is:

“Is there a special group that God has in mind for me to reach?”

Sometimes God leads us to a neighbor or a friend. Other times, He calls us to a whole community that few others have noticed. The key is listening — and being willing to go where He sends.

Today I want to share the story of Chris.

Chris first downloaded one of our bilingual tracts back in 2016 and has faithfully used bilingual materials ever since in his ministry to seafarers.

He has been reaching out to crews from around the world, visiting ships at Poole Port in the UK and bringing gift bags with Gospel literature, devotionals, and encouragement to isolated crews.

Now, Chris is preparing for a new season of ministry. From mid-July 2025, God willing, he hopes to spend two months among tuna fishing crews at Majuro (Marshall Islands). His heart is to plant and nurture missional communities among the international tuna fishermen (many nationalities, but mainly from Indonesia and China) and tuna-carrier-ship seafarers working there — a calling rooted in his years of ministry in places like Pago Pago and Honolulu Harbors.

Why is this kind of ministry so significant?

Seafarers are often away from their families for many months at a time, facing isolation, hardship, vulnerability, long times at sea, dangerous work and spiritual hunger. They come from many nations — and when they encounter Jesus, they can take the Good News back to places that traditional missionaries might never reach. Ministering to seafarers is a strategic and precious way to fulfill the Great Commission.

Would you join me in supporting Chris in this outreach?

Please pray for God's guidance, provision, open doors, and the formation of strong local partnerships in the Pacific.

Here is how you can give financially.  The amounts are in British Pounds (£).  I figured out that USD$ 100 = £74  and AUD$ 100 = £50.  I used Paypal, because my credit card was not recognized by their system, but there are other ways to give as well.

If you would like to stay in touch with Chris and hear updates about this exciting mission, please send me your email address, and I will pass it on to him.

Let’s stay attentive to where God may be calling each of us – to individuals, to groups, or even to people on the far side of the world.
