This week I'd like to share with you a message I received from Cam.
Cam is a missionary on a university campus in Australia where he regularly meets with international students.
Here is what Cam wrote…
From "I don’t want Jesus" to "I must tell my family!"
"I am from China. My family does not know this Jesus—and I don’t want him," Chao* told me bluntly back in April.
It was right after I gave an ANZAC Day presentation at the English Corner that Heather runs at Monash Uni. I’d also shared how Jesus laid down His life for us.
Chao* didn’t come back to English Corner after that—he had a lecture clash. In fact, we hadn’t seen him for 10 months.
But a few weeks ago, out of the blue, he texted us and said, "I need to meet!"
When we sat down, he excitedly told us that our ANZAC talk had stuck with him. It prompted him to begin exploring Jesus more deeply. Over the months, he kept meeting with Christian friends he’d made through English Corner.
In November 2024, he gave his life to Christ.
Then, when he returned home to China, he began sharing Jesus with his family and friends!
His mother said, "My son, you have returned home with such joy as I have never seen on you. I’m delighted with you."
His father added, "Son, this Jesus we haven’t known has done you so much good. We will not oppose you following Him."
We were stunned. And thrilled.
Please join us in thanking God for the amazing way He’s worked in Chao’s life—from resistant to radiant, from curious to courageous.
Your prayers really do make a difference.
With gratitude,
Cam
Maybe you’ve been sharing Jesus and haven’t seen results yet. Be encouraged—God is working in unseen ways, just like He was in Chao*. Keep sowing.
And remember—when we share the Gospel with just one person, we’re not only reaching them. We're opening the door for entire networks of friends, families, and even whole people groups to hear.
Chao* didn’t just believe—he went home and shared Christ with everyone he knew. That’s the kind of multiplication we pray for.
Let's pray:
"Lord Jesus, thank You for Your patience—giving people time to process what they hear about You. Thank You that the Gospel not only transforms us, but also those we share it with. Thank You for the perseverance You give us to keep sowing, even when we don’t see immediate results. We trust that in the right season, You will bring fruit. Please continue working in the hearts of those we know—bringing them to faith, and then empowering them to share the Good News within their own circles. Amen."
