An effective way to plan your next outreach

An effectiveway to plan your next outreach

Last week, I promised to share my favorite tool for planning evangelistic events—the Ministries to Movements Arrow. This tool helps create a balanced pathway for making disciples, inspired by Jesus' command:

"Go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them and teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you" (Matthew 28:19-20).

The Arrow divides the process of making disciples into five key steps:

  • Connect – Build relationships and meet people where they are.
  • Win – Share the Gospel and invite people to trust Jesus as their Saviour.
  • Build – Help believers grow in their relationship with Jesus.
  • Train – Equip and prepare others to share their faith.
  • Send – Empower believers to begin this process in new places.

To see how it works, here’s an example from Fiona’s Christmas Fair:

Fiona’s Christmas Fair: Ministries to Movements in Action

  • Connect: Invited schools, advertised locally, and encouraged personal invitations.
  • Win: Shared information about Christianity and invited seekers to an Alpha Course.
  • Build & Train: Mobilized teams to serve and trained them to share their faith.
  • Send: Empowered youth and seniors to have spiritual conversations.

This approach ensured that every step of the disciple-making process was thoughtfully included in the event planning.

Wherever you are in the world, there are opportunities to grow in disciple-making and implement strategies like the Ministries to Movements Arrow in your context.

If you’re in Australia, I highly recommend you consider Shiftm2M.  Here you will join other leaders to study movement building principles from the life of Christ which have been used by thousands of leaders globally.

For those outside Australia, Concentric Global offers exceptional training, coaching, and mentoring. They equip leaders to create multiplication movements that raise up disciples who make disciples, spreading the Gospel far and wide.

Let’s keep moving forward together as we connect others to Jesus and multiply His disciples. I’d love to hear how you’re using these tools or what strategies you’re finding effective—reply to this email and let’s keep the conversation going.
