My wife loves to shop for clothes every time we return to the United States on furlough. She knows the stores she likes shopping in and it helps her reduce the stress of being in an unfamiliar culture.
Me, I am not the least bit interested in clothes shopping. Not in America and not overseas. My strategy is to wait until my wife has picked out three or four items for me and then see which one fits the best.
So when Chris enters a store, I look to see if there is a place I can sit down and read.

So this day we were in San Francisco. I sat down to read a book on my phone and then this other man sat down right in front of me. He had the same strategy.
It seemed awkward to ignore him, so I set my reading aside and introduced myself.
As we got talking I quickly discovered that English was not his first language.
I pulled out my phone and opened up an app containing a bi-lingual Gospel tracts in English and his heart language.
He was amazed.
And so I had an opportunity to share the Gospel -- until his wife finished her shopping.
But by that time I had given him a link to the app so that he could finish reading if he wanted to.
What is the habit here?
Always carry something that helps you share the Gospel. Even better: make it something you can give away.
You never know when God will open the door for you to help connect someone to Jesus and other believers.
Let's pray:
"Lord Jesus, thank you for the many opportunities you give us to connect with people. Let us be sensitive to your leading. Remind us to carry things with us that we can use to share the Gospel: a song, a Bible passage, a tract, pen and paper, or something else. We want to see our family, friends and neighbours come to faith in you. Amen".
What do you like to carry with you? I'd love to hear.
