Recently my wife and I were invited to Roger's* house for lunch.
Before we ate, his wife showed us a book that his children had made of all the projects he had completed. I sat in amazement as I turned page after page. There must have been 70 projects including an altar for the church, numerous cabinets, tables, sets of drawers and remodeling a house. You could see the attention to detail on every page.
His wife proudly told us, "with the right tools Roger could make anything!"
When I went into his shop, I understood what she meant. There were more tools than I had ever seen.

When it comes to sharing our faith, it is important that we are using the right tool for our audience.
Remember what the apostle Paul did when he got to Athens (see Acts 17). Before he spoke at the Areopagus, he did his homework. He found a shrine inscribed 'To the god nobody knows". He also studied the Greek poets so he could use a quote from them to help build a bridge to the audience.
I was looking for a tract that my friends in the USA could use during the Memorial Day Weekend. I couldn't find anything that followed Paul's model, so I wrote my own.
What would build a bridge to the people you want to share the Gospel with?
Would any of the tools at hereslife.com be suitable, or do you need to make your own?
Let's pray:
"Lord Jesus, I pray that you will help us be sensitive to the people we are sharing the Gospel with. Direct us to the right tool. Do they need a story, a picture, a tract, a song, a movie, or some other medium? We want to communicate your message clearly, because it is the most important message in the world. Amen"
Have a great week connecting people to Jesus and other believers. I would love to hear which tool(s) you find most helpful in communicating to your audience.
